Routes 1, 3, 4, 51, 54, 58 and 72 are on due to construction. Eddy St. is closed at Allens Ave.

Route 1 will still service the front door of the hospital by traveling on Allens Ave. to Blackstone St., turn right onto Blackstone St., right into the RIPTA DTC lot, right onto Eddy St., left at the hospital entrance and then resume regular route.

Routes 3 and 4 Outbound will not serve the bus stop on Eddy St. in front of the hospital. Outbound trips will remain on Allens Ave.

Routes 51, 54, 58 and 72 Outbound will stay on Allens Ave. to Blackstone St., turn right onto Blackstone St., right into the RIPTA DTC lot, and then resume regular inbound route.

22 | Pontiac Ave

RIPTA will detour Route 22 (Pontiac Avenue) to accommodate the emergency closing of the Reservoir Avenue Bridge in Providence, Rhode Island until further notice. Route 22 will not serve bus stops on Reservoir Avenue between Narragansett Avenue and Elmwood Avenue. 

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Reservoir Avenue, right onto Narragansett Ave., left onto Roger Williams Avenue, left onto Elmwood Avenue and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to Reservoir and Elmwood Avenues, continue onto Elmwood Avenue, right onto Roger Williams Avenue, right onto Narragansett Avenue, left onto Reservoir Avenue and then resume regular route.

Routes 29, 49 and 55 are on detour due to winter weather effects.

Route 29 (Cowesset/Kent County):
Trips will not use Highland Avenue. Trips will travel the regular route to Main Street, continue on Main Street, turn right onto Pleasant Street, left onto Highland Avenue, left onto Main Street, and then resume regular route.

Route 49 (Camp Street/Miriam Hospital):
Service has been suspended.

Route 55 (Admiral/Providence College):
Service to Providence College suspended.

32 | East Providence/Wampanoag/Seekonk Square

Route 32 will not service bus stops on South Broadway today through approximately December 22, 2020 due to a long term road closure. Inbound and Outbound trips will travel on Warren Ave. to Pawtucket Ave.

49 | Camp St/Miriam Hospital

DETOUR ALERT: RIPTA will detour Route 49 beginning Monday, May 4, 2020 until further notice due to Camp St. closing

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to Doyle Ave., turn right onto North Main St., and then resume regular route. Inbound trips will travel the regular route to North Main St., turn left onto Doyle Ave. and then resume regular route.

Effective December 16, 2020, RIPTA will suspend service until further notice on Routes 62, 65 and 66 to the Park N’ Rides on Rte. 2 and Rte. 4 due to ongoing construction. Passengers are advised to park at the Wickford Train Station and board the bus there.

DETOUR ALERT: Route 71 is on detour due to construction. Outbound trips will travel regular route to Pawtucket Ave., right onto Sterry St., left onto West Ave., continue onto Main St. and then resume regular route. Reverse on Inbound.

R Line | Broad/North Main

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Southbound trips on the R-Line (Broad/North Main) to accommodate construction on the Main Street Bridge over I-95 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) is replacing bridge joints, repairing the deck, sidewalks and railings, and repaving the bridge as part of other infrastructure work in the Pawtucket and Providence area.

The detour will begin on Thursday, August 6, 2020 and will last until January 1, 2021.  The R-Line will not serve bus stops on Main Street between Quincy Avenue and Slater Street.   

The detour will be as follows:  

R-Line (Broad/North Main):

Southbound trips will travel the regular route to Main Street and Quincy Avenue, right onto Quincy Avenue, left onto Slater Street, right onto Main Street and then resume regular route.

Northbound trips will travel the regular route.
